New Production of Tristan and Isolde
Melbourne Opera is staging Tristan und Isolde at the newly renovated Palais Theatre in St Kilda on 2, 5 and 7 February 2018, their third Wagner production in under 3 years.

Melbourne Opera receives no state nor federal funding and therefore seek support via crowdfunding.

They have engaged esteemed conductor Maestro Anthony Negus, whose early career included assisting the great British conductor Reginald Goodall.  Maestro Negus is also the Music Director for Longborough Festival Opera, acclaimed for its annual Wagner productions in the Cotswolds.

A donation form is attached below for the Society’s current campaign to raise funds for The Richard Wagner Society of Victoria’s Special Productions Fund to support Isolde.

Soprano Lee Abrahamsen will be making her Wagnerian debut in Melbourne Opera’s February 2018 Tristan und Isolde production.
