The Ring in Minden - a great achievement
With the premieres of "Das Rheingold" on September 9, 2015, "Die Walküre" on September 9, 2016, "Siegfried" on September 8, 2017 and "Götterdämmerung" on September 6, 2017, the Richard Wagner Verband Minden, in a joint production with the Stadttheater Minden and the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, staged Richard Wagner's Opus Magnum par excellence, "The Ring of the Nibelung" in an exemplary and highly acclaimed production.
This year the "Ring in Minden" is being performed in two complete cycles at the end of this five-year production. The eight performances are taking place from 12 September to 6 October 2019 on Thursdays and Sundays at the Stadttheater Minden.
The artistic management team with conductor Frank Beermann, director Gerd Heinz, stage and costume designer Frank Philipp Schlößmann and the video artist Matthias Lippert once again draw on the artistic quintessence of their work of the past years in this complete performance series, enabling audiences to experience in direct succession the great arc that Richard Wagner's Nibelungensaga makes from "Rheingold" to "Götterdämmerung".
