Dear Wagner friends all over the world, dear Chairs and Presidents of Wagner Societies
On 22 May 2020 Richard Wagner, one of the most famous composers and one of the most important personalities of the 19th century, celebrates his 207th birthday.
Unfortunately, due to the current Covid-19 crisis we have to do without his works as live experiences worldwide. But the beauty of it is that this will not laste forever and we can and may all meet again, hopefully in the foreseeable future at performances of his operas and discussions about his works. discussions of his work.
