New Wagner Lieder CD from Finland
SibaRecords, the record label of the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, has recently released the complete lieder of Richard Wagner, performed by talented Finnish artists.
Jenny Lättilä, soprano and former Wagner Stipendiatin, along with renowned lieder pianist Kiril Koslovsky, join forces with internationally acclaimed baritone Tommy Hakala, heldentenor Mikko Sateil and the Suomen Laulu choir to perform a touching and securely performed rendition of Wagner's lieder, including some little-known pieces, alongside the universally loved Wesendonck cycle.
Naxos records are officially the distributors, although at the time of writing, I could not find this on their website.
