Dr Oswald Bauer is awarded the Leipzig Richard Wagner Foundation Prize for 2017
On 2 July the Richard Wagner Foundation of Leipzig held its annual award ceremony
The Richard Wagner prize for 2017 was awarded to Dr. Oswald Georg Bauer, for many years the Head of Press for the Bayreuth Festival and author of a highly acclaimed recent history of the Festival.

The annual competition prize was awarded to mezzosoprano Natalia Boeva.
