Founded in 2012, RWA(S) has held regular talks, video presentations and musical events every year since then. Its most ambitious project was a fully-staged production of "The Flying Dutchman", in 2016. It has also produced four major concerts in the past two to three years: Highlights from the Ring, War of the Romantics, Lohengrin and Wagner versus Verdi. Other events include regular private screenings and social gatherings. The society sends promising young performers to Bayreuth every year on the scholarship programme. Members of the society regularly attend the annual festival.
