News from the Wagner Society in New South Wales
The Wagner Society in NSW is having a lively 2018.
Monthly meetings have been very successful.

A conversation about his Wagnerian roles with Sir John Tomlison attracted over 90 members.

Singers supported by the Society, Sam Sakker, winner of the London Wagner Society Singing Competition and Celeste Hayworh from Wiesbaden have performed.

Suzanne Chaundy, director of three Wagner operas for Melbourne Opera described her production style.

Afternoon seminars are planned on Tristan and Isolde in concert in Perth and Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg by Opera Australia.

Jim Holman President of Washington WS spoke to committee members during a brief visit to Sydney.

Members will attend a new play by Sydney’s Justin Fleming on Wagner’s role in the Dresden uprising.

President Colleen Chesterman met the Verband’s Jacques Bouffier at Paris Opera’s Parsifal.
