The latest Scholars concert in Stuttgart was well received
The change of focus towards young artists in Stuttgart is taking effect
The concert of the Stuttgart Wagner Society on 1 September in the Augustinum in Stuttgart was well attended by over 100 people.  This demonstrates how much interest there is in Stuttgart in promoting young talent through the Wagner Scholarships, and how the Society, with its recent reorientation towards the awarding of scholarships and the giving of public concerts by the recipients has made a decisive difference to the promotion of young artists in the city.

The interest that such concerts generate in the public gives young artists the opportunity to make contact with other societies or with concert organisers.

The review (link below - in German) emphasises the high level of this concert highlighting in particular the talent of the two singers, Snaebjörg Gunnarsdottir and Simon Amend.

Special thanks are due to Sylvia Koncza, the longstanding vocal coach of these two singing talents, who had prepared them both for the concert in an extremely committed and highly professional manner. She also managed to get Professor Hans-Jörg Neuner as piano accompanist for this concert evening, due to her excellent connections with other musicians and to promote this concert widely. The WS Stuttgart also broken new ground in this respect, reflected in the large number of attendees.
