Katharina Wagner speaks openly about her illness and her plans for the future
In a frank interview with Manuel Brug in Die Welt on 21 September, Katharina Wagner spoke freely about her recent illness
Ms Wagner acknowledged that she had suffered a life-threatening pulmonary embolism, and that she had been in an induced coma for six weeks.

Now recovered, she admitted that the doctors in Regensburg had saved her life and that she would be undergoing lifestyle changes to maintain a healthier regime.

In an article in Die Welt earlier this week she gave an open and detailed account of her illness and discussed her pleasure at returning to work and her plans for the future.

You can access the full article online here, although only paid subscribers to Die Welt can read the full thing (in German).
