"RWVI" trip runs from 20 to 24 May 2027 to Leipzig, Dresden and Graupa

Richard Wagner and Leipzig are inseparably linked. It was here that he was born in 1813 and received important musical impulses for his later development. During this trip, participants will discover not only his birth city but also Dresden and Graupa, where Wagner lived and worked.

The programme includes Tristan und Isolde and Der fliegende Holländer at the Leipzig Opera, a visit to the Semperoper in Dresden and the Richard Wagner memorial sites in Graupa. On Wagner's birthday, Ursula Oehme of the Richard-Wagner-Ortsverband Leipzig will guide participants to the places in his birth city that commemorate him. Afterwards, they can take part in the traditional Kaffeetafel hosted by the Leipzig local society.

This trip is not organised by the RWVI. However, the RWVI has discussed the content of the programme with the professional travel operator and is pleased to offer its members the opportunity to take part in this trip.

The Richard Wagner-Verband International e.V. is not a tour operator within the meaning of Section 651a et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB). It acts as an intermediary, free of charge, on a non-profit basis and without assuming any liability of its own, for the services of third parties (travel agencies, coach operators, Deutsche Bahn, airlines, travel cancellation insurance providers, hotels, theatres and the like). Consequently, the Richard Wagner-Verband International e.V. accepts no liability for events falling outside its sphere of activity, such as the cancellation of an event, a coach accident, a booking error at a hotel, etc. Registration for a music and culture tour arranged by the Association implies acceptance of this statement.
