A new production of Tannhäuser on stage at Teatro alla Scala
From La Scala:

This production will be directed by Carlus Padrissa from La Fura dels Baus, featuring spectacular stage machineries, lights and projections. On the podium is Ádám Fischer, who will conduct the Ring in Vienna in 2020.

An outstanding cast will tread the boards of the eight performances: the lead role will be sung by
Peter Seiffert, probably the most important Tannhäuser of the past few years, already internationally acclaimed in Berlin and Paris, Zurich and London, and awarded for the recording of the opera conducted by Daniel Barenboim in 2002.

After the success gained in Rosenkavalier, Don Carlo and Ariadne auf Naxos, Krassimira Stoyanova faces the first Wagnerian role of her career as Elisabeth in the first six performances: Dorothea Röschmann will take on the role in the last two shows. As Wolfram, an outstanding double cast with Christian Gerhaher in one of his rare appearances on stage, delighting the audience with O du, mein holder Abendstern, and the communicative Markus Werba.

Mezzo-soprano Daniela Sindram is Venus, while Hermann is played by Albert Dohmen, who has already played central roles in some of the most important Wagnerian productions of the last 30 years.
If you are interested in attending this production individually, or as a group, please feel free to contact us for any information regarding any organizational or box office matters.
